Had Larry and the Boys along today for a day on the seabass grounds.
Called Larry yesterday to let him know seabass was still on the picky side... Well What a difference a day makes... Big Improvement Today!!!
Got set up and had seabass flying at a good clip for most of the day... Some spots were heavy on the shorts but again most the keepers were good ones up to 3 3/4 Lbs.
The Keepers seem to be in little pockets and power drifting was the way to find where they were. Then we anchored up to clean them up.
Also had a Bunch of cod of which 4 made it to the box and we had lots of nice blackfish that had to go back.
Picked away all day until the guys had a real nice cooler.
On the way home got a call From Capt Richie MA that the bass were right out front... The guys never did it before so u know we werent going to pass it up.
Made a Little bait and got our one crack at them... little hectic but we managed to go 3 for 8 on one drift before heading in. All Just over 30lbs!
Lets just say the guys will be adding livelining trips to their calender next year along with there seabass trips.
By day end the guys wound up with 121 Keeper Seabass to 3 3/4 lbs, 4 Cod, 4 Ling, and three Stripers to 34 lbs.
Larry and the gang were a a blast as always!!!!
Thanks again guys!!!
Not an all out drop n reel bite but definitely an improvement and its only gonna get better as it warms up some more!
