NETKEEPER - 5/29 Mark Derrick Liveline Limit to 35#
« on: June 02, 2011, 07:23:33 PM »
Sorry for the late reports, did not have computer access for the last few days. On Sunday 5/29, hosted Mark Derrick for his annual live trip along with brother Donny, Donny Jr and Billy (pictured below with his first bass).

Despite the pea soup fog, we made bait in the ocean pretty easy. Headed back to the grounds and boxed 3 fish early in the fog. Once the fog lifted and the boat traffic was out in force, the bite died off. Went searching without much luck. Worked an area all by ourselves around noon and it was game on with mutliple fish taken each drift. The guys boxed the remainder of their limit to 35# using a bonus tag to keep an additional fish. Left the fish aggressively biting. Unfortunately both teens succummbed to Mal de Mar and did not fish most of the trip and bolted for dry land as soon as we hit the dock.

Overall, a great day of fishing with a great group of guys.

We will not post how many fish were missed as a number of them were due to Doggies. How do we know this, a) we hooked them on livies b) we watched them follow or spit baits boatside. Those baits that were spit looked scaled like a Bass did it.

Striper Fishing at its finest, don't miss it.
