BOUNTY HUNTER - Stripers With The Kevin Fretz Charter, 6/2
« on: June 07, 2011, 01:58:23 PM »
The Kevin Fretz charter was on board the Bounty Hunter today and Capt. Paul turned right after clearing the Inlet. We found the Bunker spread out from Pt. Pleasant all the way down to Mantoloking. An added bonus was that there were Bass moving south under the Bunker schools. We made a few drifts and finally caught up to the Bass. We put 2 in the box and pulled the hooks on several more. The third fish was landed by Andrew and measured 45" and weighed in a few ounces short of 40 Lbs. Jen, a Bounty Hunter regular followed with her own 40" Bass that came in at 32 lbs. The west wind made for a rough ocean once you were out to 60Ft. So with a couple of youngsters on board we spent the day in 20 to 40 Ft. and that's where the Bass were. All will be back in July for their Seabass charter.  clp clp

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
