Spruce Run 6-3-11
« on: June 03, 2011, 11:51:07 PM »
Fished Spruce Run for a few hours tonight before darkness hit. It was quiet for the most part. The action didn't pick up until after sunset. Sunfish, and small stripers was about it.

Spruce run was always one of my home waters when I had my boat. I lived in Clifton at the time and I would go to either Round Valley or the "run" as we called it. Nice amount of species in there too, good combination.

umm good question lol. I think they were regular stripers cause they were more elongated and their lines were constant, not patchy. Not 100% sure though.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

They are Hybrids, at least they were when I fished it 20 yrs ago. Not sure if they stocked regular stripers or not. I doubt it since I am not sure they would survive, plus its not an overly large body of water, altho it would be holding both types.
