Yesterday I decided to go check out a few areas in the bay for fluke in the late afternoon. The bait really showed up and the smaller summer blues(12"to 16" ) were hammering it on the bars. I had to work with top water but small bucktails and metal got them much better. After boxing up a few for bait I went looking for some fluke. I checked OC just to see if they started stacking yet but with 2 knot of current it was a waste of time. I pushed up the bay a little out of the tide and found what I was looking for. An area with no snot grass and hungry fluke. Just wish I had a little more time as it was 7:30 when I got on it. I finished with 14 shorts 2 keepers 19" and 20" and dropped a few more boat side. Near perfect conditions makes the fishing much easier and a great sunset on the ride home topped off a good late afternoon.
