Bonita and Blues
« on: June 25, 2011, 03:20:05 PM »
Broke BI this morning around 5am. Lots of fog at  inlet but if yu went north a mile it was open and clear.  Saw no bunker.  Was with my son and we were on friends boat.  He decided to make a run about 15 miles straight out.  Ran into nothing but gill netters all over the ridge.  But we stuck the trolling lines out and hooked up pretty quickly with Bonita.  That was follwoed by a mess of 2-5 pound blues.  Had em hooked 3 at a time.  Ocean was calm there, 71 degrees water temp.  Once the netters pulled out it was plenty of room to fo,llow some chick birds around.  We also had plenty of flying fish all over the bow and in the air, it was cool to watch.  Photo is of my son and the first bonita

Early to bed…early to rise…fish all day…make up lies.
