Pilot - Fluke to 6lb with Brother Jay 6/25
« on: June 25, 2011, 05:52:29 PM »
Got a good start on the morning with my brother Jay. Plenty of bait.  Live Herring, Killies and squid with an assortment of frozen goods like spearing, left over herring.  Turned into SH bay, then the tip.  Tried to get something started in the deeper water only to get a few shorts and one keep.   Frustrated... moved around a bit. Not much traffic, worked a couple of spots between the channels and then some.   Had wind against which made it interesting but didn't keep the fish from biting.   Bucktailed a couple nice fish one at 6lb and another at 5lb.  You had to talk to them today.  The two larger fish were aggressive on the bucktails but the balance seemed to come on the teaser.   Pink 4" mullet teaser with a 4OZ charetruese spro with white hair out fished other combos today.  Finished up by noon and left them biting so that we could get home at a reasonable hour.   Ended up with 9 keepers, 21 short, 2 keep CB, 3 throw backs, 4 Lionel Ritchies and a spiny dog fish.    Great day to be out!

Till next time t^ t^

As usual I had a great time out fishing with you brother. You were hot with the stick and I could not believe the size of some of the fish you caught  cfzd. We threw some good meat into the cooler  clp....
