Wish we could win them all but its impossible... but wasnt for lack of effort...
REPORT AS WRITTEN BY MY BOW MONKEY....
Orlando, Bobber and I left around 6am and headed down the beach.
NOT a good bite but we managed 9 keepers to 4.5# by 10am. Orlando also got a keeper sea bass and nice ling on bucktail.
Got a call from a Friend (many calls but we were slow to listen) and made a 10 minute move.
Box up another 6 over there and returned to original spot around 1pm.
Added a half dozen more in the afternoon due to persistent power drifting.
NOTHING bigger than 5# for us
Leader board runs from 9.4# to 7.8#; 1st to 8th Place.
Back at it tomorrow, bright and early.
btw.......Dollar Bill went to me! Someone still owes BALKY
2nd day
worst than the first.
started from marina EARLY. was out on the grounds as the sun peeked over the horizon.
a dozen keep fluke to 6#, 6 keeper sea bass and another nice ling.
bucktailed ALL day long.
Congrats to Cool Hand Fluke Al Durso for tying for the biggest fish. Being the 2nd fish weighed in at the same weight (9.4) he gets second place. $1500 ain't hard to take considering the size of the bags of fillets those guys also took home this weekend.
Back at it next weekend for Raritan Bay and Middletown Elks on Saturday.
