Wed 07/13 report
« on: July 14, 2011, 03:14:48 PM »
Took an evening cruise for some late evening flatties.  Pushed off around 5:30 and ran right into a stiff breeze and some rough conditions out there.  Got to the spot I wanted to try and took a few drifts with only shorts to show for it.  Little tiny shorts at that.  Got waked horribly by a CG boat for no good reason whatsoever.  I was nowhere near a channel and they had no reason to do it, just being dicks I suppose, looked like a bunch of 20 year olds in command.  After being thrown down on my deck and laying there holding on for dear life I was going to call them over channel 16 to give them a piece of my mind but then thought the better of it since I brought out 3 cans of beer and didn't want any trouble.  Fished up some more shorts and then saw some ominous looking weather hanging over Manhattan.  Watched it for a while and then CG put out a severe weather alert, urging all small vessels into harbor.  Made it back safely pissed at CG but yet thankful for their service.  And it's time for me to find a new spot to try.

The cure for everything is salt water: sweat, tears, and the sea.
