Help with gulb bait
« on: August 05, 2011, 08:43:50 AM »
I know this should be easy but what is the best way to bait a 4" minnow for Fluke. Thanks again.
Keep your hooks in the water and your bait fresh.

All depends on the rig but normally I hook them threw the mouth and come out the back a little more than half wa to the tail. You should notice that way the gulp will swim up right and won't twist up on ya.it will also help you hook up with the smaller fish that seam to not swallo your whole bait. The other thing is leave it on the hook untill your done because it is hard to rehook them so I dip the hole hook in the gulp juice to recharge them. Hope that helps.

One more thing save your plastic mayonase jars if you use the gulps in the liquid because the buckets they come in are a pos and will leak learned that the hard way waisting 3 tubs worth before realizing its not always the indian but sometimes the arrow. The bait lockers plano makesare good but if you have man hands there hard to get out and the tweesers they give you are worthless trust me on that one
