Gulp rigging

I'm hearing a lot of guys catching with Gulp grubs and I'd like to know some details on how they're being used...On a leadhead as a jig? A teaser above the bait? With the bait instead of squid?

I sometimes use it on a jog, sometimes use it in lace of squid with a kille or spearing on a # 2 or 3 hook. I sometimes use it is a dropper. I sometimes use it on a hook plain.

Very versatile.

Other styles besides grub works very well too.

I use them on leadheads, Spros and also threaded over the eye of a hook before baiting with a killie or spearing/strip combo.

It all depends what you are fishing for and which Gulp product you are using.

If your referring to the Shrimp.....For Trout, Redfish and such I'd use a 1/8 to 3/8 oz. jig head. For Flounder/Fluke I'd suggest using them on a knocker rig.

BTW the hotest colors in the NC area are New Penny, Moulting & Natural.

If you're talking fluke, I use ONLY Gulp.......no natural bait. I rig a flouro leader with a Spro jig of appropriate color. Tied 8-10" above that is a short dropper loop to which I apply a 2/0 hook with the same Gulp there. Use the SMALLEST Spro you can get away with. LINE DIAMETER is KEY.

you can use gulp anyway, as longs as its in the water on the bottom, it works, especially when a squid strip is added to it.
