Fluke Fishing coming to an end
« on: September 08, 2011, 08:50:32 PM »
Well the fluke season is coming to an end in 17 days. nosmly. Thinking back we have had a great fluke run going, the seas were nice the fish were getting fat,Boat was runnin top notch. clp chrz

Then Irene came along and disrupted it all,Dirty water, angry seas, tons of Debries and super fast drifts not to mention the floods, rains and wind. thud
We have been fishing twice since Irene came along with very dismal results. I have heard it has not changed to much around me. :headscra: nosmly

As i sit hear thinking when we should try again im thinking with all this weather the storms winds tides run off and the such its not looking good till next week. 5hrug Hoping we can ALL get a break from this crappie weather soon and get back to normal...if there even is a "Normal" chrz

Good luck to all for the rest of the season...

I sure as hell hope to get a few more Fluke trips in. The last weeks of the Seabass season has been a bust, I was hoping for some Bonito & Albies too by now, but instead, I got blown by Mother Nature.  5hrug  <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Think about all the fluke not being caugt right now. If the draggers don't get them all we should have a killer season next year. I caught more fluke from the beach than from the boat this year.....lame

We finally get the power boys to extend the season and then some Bitc$ Irene screws it up...so whats new?  rgmn  It might take a while if the bite returns, if not, get out the bass poles. Some one was saying the chemicals and pollution, oil, and run off etc. from the rivers is really bad presently lots of debris too.

In my opinion they can let the fluke season run until the end of the year then re-open it again in May. From September on the weather is crappy and when it finally does clear up we are well into October. You won't get a ton of fish but there is still some nice fluke around. November and December, if out on a deep grounds bottom fishing trip you are liable to catch a keeper fluke. How much of a hurt would that put on the quota? I'm thinking, not much if any at all.
