Monger Friday 9/2 Updated w/report

Got a call from a friend about an open spot on the Monger for Fluke/Seabass tomorrow ( Fri )

Gota jump on this one being that Paule and I were blown out on our charter last Friday pre Irene... :'(  

Trucks loaded and gased up, sandwiches made, beer iced down chrz

I'll post up my report tomorrow  t^

I hope they're chewing ;D

Should be!
We did pretty well today, boxing 21 keepers and some C-Bass.  Jerry and Wayne have them located!  We caught a lot of shorts today as well!

Chucked the ropes at 6am and headed out to the grounds...some ground swell today but very fishable with a brisk drift that was manageable with a 4oz bucktail...had action pretty much from the get go.

Had to have caught over 200 fluke by around 12:30ish with 16 going into the penalty box...nothing huge but keepers none the less...Seems that the big boys aren't ready to chew just yet but that should change as the water continues to clean up.  Not super dirty today but still greenish brown with a good amount of debris in the water from Irene ( Be careful if you venture out this weekend and keep you eyes peeled )

At 1:00 we decided to give the seabass a wakeup call and worked a couple of spots that to our suprise had some really nice sized keepers up to 4lbs...for the balance of the day we boxed up 51 nice ones before calling it quits.

Really nice day on the water today...as usual Jerry/Wayneo worked their butts off as we build a nice box of fish today... t^
