Bass and Bottome Fishing
« on: September 18, 2011, 08:46:52 AM »
Set out on a crew friends trip with Capt Alan on the Net Keeper Saturday. Good weather but a tad snotty on the grounds. On board was Capt Alan, Mate, Ed, Gary and myself.

Setup on Romer amoung some serious breakers. Slow pick at the Bass, hooking up 7 with 1 keeper. Made a couple moves, tried clamming and eeling, NG.

Changed gears to bottom fishing. Ran down to the reef and it was game on: Tog, Porgies, Fluke, and some Monster Knuckleheads. Crying shame the Sea Bass Season shut down, we would have filled the cooler with them.

All in all a good day fishing with great guys. Nice relaxing day for all. TT^

Hey Bob thanks for putting up the post, have had home computer issues all week. It was a good time with some good buddies. Here is a picture of one of those Knuckleheads. The highlight of my day was catching both a Knucklehead and a keeper tog on the same Porgy Rig on St Croix Fluking Trout Rod. Hopefully th egood fishing holds up...

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
