FISHERMEN/Tough one for us today...Tuesday.
« on: October 18, 2011, 05:10:51 PM »
After some good reports, nice pics and video, the customers came out today.....had to know the crap would hit the fan!!!

Started the AM where we have had success the past 3 days......Anchored up into some pretty crappy conditions. Not much current and just enough breeze to make us swing in a circle. Got the hell outta there fast.

Fished the clam boats to only catch 3 keepers and a couple shorts...no current once again. Took another ride and bounced around picking at a few shorts and a couple keepers, each time thinking the bite would turn on, then it would die.

All fish were hooked in the lip which tells me, they weren't on the feed. Smaller fish also compared to the past two days. Pool fish went 14 pounds.

Did hear that a boat jigged fish way out East, which is a good thing for the upcoming week. Unfortunatly for us, by the time we heard the news, we had gone in another direction and didn't get it done. Just can't be everywhere.

Tomorrow looks like another Bad day at the dock! Don't mind gettin my butt kicked but gust's to 35 outta the NE ain't gonna happen for us.

CHARTERED THIS COMING SUNDAY MORNING!!!

Capt. Ron,

Amazing how one day you find fish and whack them good, and then it turns into a bust the next. Fares just don't understand what Captains go through each day trying to put together a decent day on the water for them. That's why they call it fishing and NOT catching. Yes, Wednesday looks like a bad day with rain and a NE at 35kts.

How's you dad doing? Better I hope.

Yes sir Capt. It was a tough day for every one. We dropped the hook as you were pulling the hook for the last time.Nothing but giant robins we got. Altho the water was beautiful today just not a good catching day.
Why does it Matter to you? cause I could careless.........

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
