Got out on the Sea Hawk Saturday 10/22. Met up with my uncle at the boat and about 10 total anglers set sail with Capt Mike.Started out a little slow with the tog bite but built up some life and each subsequent bite was better and the fish bigger. Uncle Bob even started to boat some blackfish and even got a nice 4.5# fih that he kept as his limit. Thought he'd end up with the pool but our last drop yielded much better action. Lots of current, but some nice tog in the 4 to 8lb class came up. I hooked into a fish that felt nice and decided that was the keeper of the day. Ended up pushing the boga down to 8# though the pic doesn't do it justice. Porgy fishing was quite slow with very few caught. Some nice sea bass had to be released as well, but everyone left with their 1 tog limit. I had about 4-5 keeper sized tog with about as many shorts through out the day as did my uncle. Wasn't a banner day but enough action to keep you interested.Capt Mike even managed to recover a lost anchor from last year On Sunday Theresa and I decided to take Jason out and give him a quick lesson in drowning crabs. No real action to speak of, but was a great day and have an unforgetable memory of our first family fishing outing Some pics from Saturday and Sunday:
