Had an all star crew today with Still Running (Diesel HP),Paul-e,Hunter 2 and Ikat onboard for some blackfishing today...left highlands at 6:30 a.m. and headed to the grounds. Set up on our first spot...not much life...anchor popped out so made a shuffle and reset...slow there too...made a move to the north...winds picking up now and the tide starting to slow up....had a flurry of action there for about 40 minutes qith the shorts coming first and then the keepers to follow suit....as the action died out it was back to some shorts. Wind was a steady 25+ at that point and the seas kicking up....called it a day and headed for the barn around 12:45.
Paul-e was the hot hand today for sure....and he brought all the prizes he won at the banquet last year which almost sunk the boat with all that stuff!!
Dennis...good stuff bro....forget the shrimp......pineapple kilbasi rocks!
I didnt get many pics today....more focused on making sure we didnt come loose on the anchor in the wind and seas.
