Barneget Light Public Dock HELP Please!
« on: November 20, 2011, 09:33:18 PM »
I am thinking of using the Barneget Light Public Dock to launch from this Tues to save some on-water motoring time to the fishing grounds. I am hopeful that someone can answer some questions for me.

1) What are the hours of operation this time of year? Can I make it out by first light?

2) Is it adequate to launch a 23' WA from? Low tide conditions?

3) It appears to be a pretty easy shot to the inlet, is it?

Thanks!

Fred

I would just use the Barnegat Public Dock on Bay Ave.
Then just run up double creek channel.  That is about 6 miles to the inlet... and will take.. I'd say 20 miles off your car trip.

Funny.  IF you zoom that map out, it looks like it was taken a few days ago. Look at all the boat traffic and the parking lot in front of the bathing beach ;D

Double Creek can get a little tricky. I'm sure there will be someone at some point you can follow out..

Just remember/ As Greg Said to me once " Birds Can't Walk On Water" ;D

The BL Ramp looks open year round.  Your boat is fine there.. just watch the tight squeeze near the bulkhead. By the Coastguard Station..  you can see it in this shot..  Maybe this is your best bet. Than having to navigate Double Creek..
