Hoping someone here could really help me out
« on: November 29, 2011, 07:29:11 AM »
Morning to you all.I was wondering If any one here could give me some information, The other day i was thinking about the tag and release program they had for the striped one's. Do they still have that program? If so does anyone know where i can find the infomation on this. As nobody here eats them i'd like to get in this program.I'd rather release them with tags then just release them...Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a profitable day!!!!

Google the American Littoral Society.  They might be who you're looking for.

As they said, the Littoral Society is the most popular program.
You have to join their organization for $40 and then purchase the kit with the tags.
All the info should be in that link.
Catch & release is a great practice.  t^  Tagging adds to the benefit and it's interesting to see where the fish release move around to.

Very cool guys cant thank you enough. I figured if i could help with research why not. As for catch&release i dont have any problems releasing any fish.Im in it for the fight and fun not eating.I'm thinking if i could release a few that were tagged maybe the "research"guys could find more data on the striped ones. Thus helping us out in the loooong run...

Thanks again guys and happy fishing t^
