Took her out this morning for the last trip of the season. Lots of bird life between the channels so I started tossing a Ava w/white tail, first fish was 1/2 inch shy and was the largest bass of the day. Had hot action for a few hours landing 16 shorts (20-27") on jigs with and without tails. I also got a couple casting an unweighted bass candy shad to swirling fish. Gave up on that lure as I was getting more action from the birds than the bass. I had four run-offs but just could not hook those gulls
Ended the day trolling (unbrella with green tubes on braid). Landed 4 more short bass and 2 monster blues. Headed back in as the wind was starting pick up. Not a bad December day at all. Final count 20 short bass and 2 blues.
