Stripers in the raritan bay
« on: March 16, 2012, 08:53:02 AM »
Last night me and three of my friends went down near keyport on a remote beach to do some clamming for some raritan bay stripers. We got there at 8:30 p.m. right when the tide was begining to come in. Right away BAM my friend hooks into one. A 31 inch keeper. Within the next hour he hooked another three. ALl but one were keeper size the biggest 33 inch 14 lbs. After that excitement it slowed down a bit. Until I hooked into one got him halfway in and he popped off. Right after me my other buddy hooked into something nice. When we finally got it in ended up being 34in 17lbs. So all in all in was a good start to the spring run.
Why can't we fish 5 days a week and work 2!

Way to go Jake next time your on my beach say hello TT^
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
