Hi All,
I am in Toms River and am reporting for the Barnegat Bay, Toms/Metedconk/Manasquan Rivers and Ocean out front.
At 10:00AM it is 63 degrees F with hard, sustained winds out of the NW at 14 or so.
The bay is 1-2 ft. white caps on the east side. The west side is calm. The rivers are all calm.
The ocean has 1 ft. chop out to 3 miles or so where it picks up. The drift is very fast!
If you a beach person, watch out for a sandblasting from the winds and biting green heads!
The water is chocolate in the rivers/bay/ocean from the rainwater runoff.
If you are a sailor, it is a good day to be on the water.
If you plan on fishing or going to the beach, wait until tomorrow ...
I am off to a picnic - perfect for that!
Have fun,
Capt. Ed
