2011 Kayak Season Spring to Fall
« on: December 30, 2011, 04:30:06 PM »

The spring started off kind of slow back in the early spring around March....With the water being much colder because of the heavy snow......

Around mid-April we started to see the back bay warm up and the first sign of life when the bunker started to show......The bass didn't come alive until the very end of April.

May the Bunker and bass showed up on the ocean front....which by this time it was time to start fishing the surf.

July - Mid October was slow in both the back bay and surf.....with not much at all to talk about but some fluke.

November and December what can I say.....Its been great for both the back bay and surf fisherman.....We had nights in the upper bay around Bay Head......That every fish caught was a 20 plus pound fish....and for the bay.....That's a nice fish on a kayak.

I had another great kayak fishing season and hope next year is just as good.

Well as another kayak season comes to a end....I Just wanted to say thanks to everyone in the fishing community here on NJSWF for another great year.

Happy New Year!!!

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
