Well from what I can see we are looking at a great early season for us kayak fisherman around the state......
The weather has been very warm and the water temperature has not become all that cold as in past years.... We have had no heavy snow fall to cause run off from our streams and rivers......
I travel over the 37 Bridge twice a day and the bay has not even had Ice since December...... Not many winters like that.
The bass fishing in Ocean And Monmouth county has been great through out the entire winter.....When was it that you hear of Nice size Bass being caught in January and February in this area......
The Back bay is loaded with bait left over from last year..... I have reports of Bunker showing not only on the ocean front.....But in the back bay.... and the last time I checked its still February.
I have some very good contacts with fisherman in both Ocean and Monmouth County who have been catching Bass all winter.....Most being Bigger fish......
Now is the time to start to gear up and get ready.....March is only a couple weeks away and I think the spring run is going to be hot in many areas....Because as you can see the Bass have not left the state waters.......Like in past years.
I have a new toy this year....A GOPRO Video Camera that I mounted to the front of the kayak..... This way I can bring the action to you from the kayak to your computer.....
