Fluke Seminar at Efinger's by Reel Fun Sportfishing
« on: February 11, 2012, 04:09:56 PM »
Fellow Anglers,

I am proud to announce that on Saturday, March 10, 2012 I have been retained by Efinger Sporting Goods, 513 W. Union Ave., Bound Brook, NJ to give a 90 minute Fluke seminar on fishing the NY Bight area which includes Raritan and Sandy Hook bays as well as inshore ocean locations. Techniques that I use to successfully put my charters onto some very impressive flatties for the cooler.

Some topics of discussion will be choice of baits (cut big and catch big), bucktailing versus drifting baits, preferred choice of rods and reels, tides to fish, areas to fish at what time of the season, outgoing versus incoming water, drift speeds, chart reading, understanding your GPS and many other topics of great interest during this cram-packed seminar of information now that we are starting to zero in on the upcoming 2012 fishing season.

Regretfully, I haven't received all the final details from Efinger's, but I do know that the seminar will commence promptly at 1:00 and finish at around 2:30 and will coincide with their spring blowout of fishing gear and that I heard they will have some sort of door prizes to give out. Sounds like this could be an interesting day!

Efinger's will be updating their web site shortly and their phone number is 732-356-0604 if you have any questions. Mark your calendar for March 10th and hopefully I'll see you there.

Don't forget to bring your paper, pencil and questions. Let's make this a killer Fluke season.

Tight Lines,
Capt. John

Capt John,

Good catching up with you at Tastees the other day.  Great trading some stories. You got me jacked for the upcoming season.  Hoping to make the seminar.  With your creds and experiences on the flatties, this should be on everyones don't miss list if they're available.    ;)

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the Effinger's seminar but I did sit in on Captain John's seminar at the Somerset Saltwater Fishing Expo today. Great job Captain John, very informative seminar.  t^
