Reel McCoy II Report 4/7/12
« on: April 07, 2012, 09:35:40 PM »
Headed out this morning to troll the back bay with my neighbor, Dick. After a long bumpy ride to the Reach we set up on some marks on the edge.  As soon as I started to let out the second lure it was fish on the first rod.  Dick brought in the first bass of the season, unfortunately it was a short.  After we worked the edge for a while without further action we trolled the flats to the west where Dick got another bass this time a nice 32" fish.  I then landed a 26" short.  We missed a few others and decided to head back in as the wind was begining to pick up.  Not a bad start but I did hear there was a hot bite further inshore by Keansburg.

nice start
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
