Worked it hard yesterday trying to find some toothy ones with T-bone, Capt's Don Sr & Jr, and "The Dog Catcher". Hit parts of near shore wrecks/reefs and some deeper water that typically hold fish. Couple of places we came up empty and didn't waste much time. Found bites of 2-3 lb dingers that kept us interested in 80ft while we were in the search mode for TOG. "The Dog Catcher", feeling a little under the weather from prior nights Prime Rib and Horseradish, didn't disappoint. He stroked those doggies like a 116 lb jockey on a 2:1 favorite turning for the final stretch. Sometimes they were miserably thick but the moved off and gave you an opportunity and a little hope you'd connect with one of the desired ones. Clam was the ticket. Probably would have been better with fresh but the frozen was taking up too much real estate in the freezer. Capt Don Sr was keeping a scorecard on species caught. Something he picked up from KOOZ. Nice work there chalky
Cancun Pete from Atlantic Bait did us an ultimate solid with a nice connection on the Greenies
. Thanks Pete
Only problem, not one fish showed any interest
A lot of moving around to put 10 ling (byproduct)in the coffin, a kennel worth of doggies, monster skates, Pout, an out-of-season Cbass (returned), and one short Blackie (returned).
