Monday eve with Big Al
« on: April 16, 2012, 10:06:07 PM »
Al and I tried to take advantage of the weather and make up for the mini hurricane we dealt with last time.  Fueled up and headed out for the troll. Marked a bit around 11a but no takes, headed out to Sandy Hook.  Hit the wall of cold air and 3 foot chop and the depth finder lit up.  Port line started screaming out and Al was on, but she shook free.  Al was getting a little chilly and had to borrow my thermal shirt to keep his tootsies warm.  trolled on quite a few marks but they had lockjaw.  Varied speeds and the amount of line out but no luck.  Headed back in as the sun went down and Al could finally warm his tootsies back up in the nice warm bay air.  Skunk 2 in a row now after being on a roll.  Fishing............not catching.   5hrug

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
