8-25 Rocks??

Ok boat is full of gas and i think Im going to head out early and try for the rocks ! Want to try for some sea bass? and fluke. Think thats what u guys fish for over there. Any ideas for bait or the rigs I have NEVER been over in that area before so have NO clue what im doing Lol   5hrug

Bring lots of rigs with you you will lose alot
of them. Good Luck. It has been hit or miss with me and Luna Sea there this year, but might be productive this time of year.

Im not sure whats even out there to catch LOL .. sea bass blackfish fluke who knows lol .. I want to see how my fuel does out that way experiment and i gotta come back  kinda early .. on vacation all week :D

gotta figure out what bait, lures to use to go out there.

Salty, I would bring lead from 4-10 oz.  With any wind you will probably be using at least 8 oz. of lead.

You can use a three way swivel or a fish finder rig with a 2-3 foot leader and a hook  on the end.  I usually use a 4/0 hook.  Add strip bait and dead fish and drag along the bottom.  You will catch fluke and seabass with this rig.

Yes, Sandy Hook reef is north of the rocks.  Actually, norther part of the rocks may be part of the southern most section of the reef.

I will be going out tomorrow but don't know what area yet.  Depends on the wind conditions.
