Hunter 2, 5/5/2012 Raritan bay Stripers
« on: May 05, 2012, 03:54:18 PM »
Pulled it of Keyport 8:30 am to the top of an outgoing tide with some clams. Cashin, Massbaster Steve and Newbie Anthony made up the crew. The sky was overcast and the wind was around 6 mph west. We trolled a bit where they produced yesterday but no takers.  When the current picked up we set up a spot between keansburg and Staten Island and started whacking clams. After  a 20 minute soak the first rod started screaming and we handed it off to Anthony for his first ever Striper from a boat. We caught 7 keeper Stripers and 1 skate.  No shorts and no bluefish. Not a bad day at all. Back home by 2 pm for several communion parties to attend. We might get out tommorrow for another try.    Good luck,,, Eddie t^

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
