Roosters Flukin 5-18
« on: May 18, 2012, 06:42:59 PM »
Tom and I started our Fluke season today by taking the Roosters up the Shrewsbury River near buoy #29A where we joined a small fleet. The NE winds with the last of the incoming tide made for a fast drift, later with the outgoing it made our drift very slow.
The narrow channel kept Tom busy running the engine to keep us on a productive area. We left the river around noon with three Fluke to 19" for me and two to 20" for Tom. Killies are easy to trap this year, as any creek seems to hold them. The hot bait was Killies while Tom got his big one on a long Sea Robin strip. Pete
