barnegat area 5/23
« on: May 23, 2012, 03:33:52 PM »
had daniel onboard with me and we got to brake the inlet about 545 and turned north through some light/patchy fog. water was really calm with some minor swells.

at first bait was scarce and spooked real easily.  after the sun came up and started to lift the fog the bunker started snapping the surface, and we where able to start snagging and dropping bait.

only seen a couple fish breaking the surface, launching bunker like trapeze artist's.

started to move around from bunker pod to pod trying to find some bass. that wasn't working, tried riding around looking for marks and dropping bunker down on top of them, no dice,,,finished off the day with a big skunk.

leaving the slip in the am

once the fog lifted

rest of the crew, nice having you aboard daniel

a little breeze picked up in the afternoon

then the fog returned,, and stayed that way till we broke back through the inlet returning.
