Raritan Bay Sat Trip 5/26
« on: May 26, 2012, 06:41:16 PM »
Welllll took my best friend of 30 yrs out... fished the out going and even though she cant do much but catch some rays and have a great time...or bait her hook or take her fish off, she does produce...Hit the triangle for a few drifts, there was a bass tourney going so I wanted to be safe and not worry bout their anchor lines while i was drfting so wished them luck  t^ and hit the chnl right off the SI side by the Steeple... Elaine had trouble holding bottom center in the chnls, still learning, even with 3oz on... rofla she said  my lines all out what do I do  rofla so I came out the chnl fished the edges and with out her even knowing it got a short...  clp then fished by 48 for a bit and she pulled in another short, 16.5, getting bigger so we were syked nice fish but short and slim.... back he went..crossed over and fished to the left of Keansburg...ZILTCH  :'( so took a ride, had some lunch and hit over by earl...looked over my shoulder & skies in NY were black. Sunny over us but when I hit the marine weather chnl to see bout the winds and what was going on, they called for server storms 40 mile winds were comming. With in seconds we battened down everything and came on in. Mother nature is no joke... first sun then 5 min later were covered in storm clouds. She was a lil nervous, but I got us back in safely. Skies didn't open then but I think right now, some areas dont have power and lighting has touched down a few spots  :-\ so I'm glad I brouhgt us in. Even though the Capt didn't land even a short, :'( I'm  honest in saying when I take people out my main thing is for them to catch fish and enjoy themselves which I think she did! 2moro and hopefully Monday will be ok...between NOAA, The Weather Chnl and all the newtworks, 2& 7 they allllll have different reports for the next few days.  ??? ???  Sooooo as usual I'll head out and hope for the best. I'm stoked that I've taken a few people out so far this year and they have gotten keepers to take home.  clp clp Tight lines friends.... hope to see some of you tomorrow. Mr Fish is my ride... posted a few shots of her already. Im kinda hard to miss on the bay  :P Was on chnl 68 for bout a hr..hoping to hear some of you but lots of chit chatter so I hit the tunes and enjoyed the day. BTW is it 5am yet??  nosmly I hope everyone got out and had a nice day!!! Hoping to start posting better reports soon!  Ms. Fish  grtn grtn

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
