Left the dock around 5:15 to get out there early. Absolutely beautiful morning and winds blowing the water flat. Ocean was like a lake. Amazing. Headed out of BI, North to near the seaside Ferris wheel. Loads of bunker all over but nothing pushing them. Tried parachute rigs, metals, and of course live lining. Nothing...Ended up snagging about 20 Bunks and switched over to lighter gear and headed to the BI Reef. Bunch of other boats out there. Drifted it a bunch of times. Ended up pulling out a few sea-bass. One of them being a keeper using a pink 3 oz octopus rig with a chartreuse 4" gulp. Never mix the colors but wanted to try something different and it worked.
Overall a slow day, didnt see anyone pull in any bass but perfect day to be on the water.
Well see what next Sunday Brings.
James.
