Fished with long time friends Chuck and Eric and my neighbor Jason today for cod. Left the dock at 4:15 am and took a slow ride out in a confused south swell with a W/NW wind.
Set the anchor on the first shot and had a steady pick of 12 keeper cod to 18 lbs, some big ling and one 10 lb pollock. We also had 5 throwback cod, some pesky bergalls and one silver eel.
It was nice to see Jason catch his first ever keeper cod.
It was not easy with the wind against the tide situation and had to re-set the anchor twice.
An A+ weather day with great friends and some good eating fish!
