So who remembers.......

How catching Lightning Bugs was the coolest thing on earth?
I couldn't resist taking the boys out back to test their skills at catching those cool little bugs!

I DO, very nice.

I had the boys down at the park this evening. Beautiful sunset. They loved it.

See you out there!

Also remember what we used to do with the lightning bugs after we caught them.
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!

My first experience with Fire Flys was at my Aunt's farm in Southwestern PA when I was 13 and I had never seen anything like those little Lightning Bugs, so I put some in a jar and brought them back home to Spokane, Washington for my friends to checkout.  Had to shake the bottle a little to get them to spark up, then released them, but of course they didn't multiply.

Think if we smushed them on a spro the flukies would find them easier???
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Can smear them on the end of a rod tip to see it better.
