Fished the BI Reef Saturday with my friend Chris. Little to no drift. Ended up bringing in a few sea bass and a few short fluke. Packed up in search of bunks to grind up for Sundays trip. Came home with 20 bunks.
Sunday-Headed out of Holgate 6:30am in search of bunks to snag for shark bait on our way to the LE Reef. Dolphins all over the place. Couldn't find any bunks so we came closer to land and found a few big pods with small blues chasing them. Snagged 10 bunks and caught about 10 baby blues that were perfect for shark bait. Went back to the reef and chummed heavily. 15 minutes later had a bunch of brown sharks roll up. Ended up bringing in 4 sharks to 30ish pounds. We also brought in a nice fluke ( 21") and i had fat one spit the hook right at the boat.
All in all , great weekend to be on the water..
