I just read In the Sunday Asbury Park press that The fire works seen by 1000000s were shot of at The Asbury Park Fishing Pier
there was even mention of fishermen catching Fluke and King fish at the Pier. I fished on the long Branch Pier back in early 50s till its demise. but for some reason this one is lost to me but I posted a photo of it. I will call the APP on Monday and ask waht the ^&*0 their talking about.
After a search I found out that this Pier burned down in 1944 I was 3 years old no wonder, Dam fires
I have a season beach pass for Ocean Grove and never see any number of people fish that Private Pier, Same for Shark River.
