Had my friend Kevin from PA out today for some ocean fluking. Heard about a good bite in the Mud Dump area so off we went. As soon as we stopped Kevin get his rod in and bang we put a 21" fluke in the box. It looked like we were off to a good start but not so fast. After that it was a slow pick of small Sea Bass and short fluke. I landed a 19" keeper and a few decent CBs. Kevin put a nice 18" CB in the boat. We headed for one more shot in the Scotland area and bam Kevin lands his PB Sea Bass a 21" knucklehead. I put managed two more short fluke and a keeper CB and just as I was about to pull the plug I got a nice 21" ling. While Kevin had the quality fish today I caught the most diverse species; smooth dogfish, sea robins, bergals, fluke, sea bass, ling and I even managed to land a commercial fish basket floating with the outgoind tide. Hot bait for the CBs was mackerel strips.
