asbury high rise fluke
« on: July 02, 2012, 08:52:11 PM »
;) went out 6:30 am both sat. n sun. to same area. about 2 miles off high rise on the mussel beds 54-59 feet deep. got limit both days nothing big 18-24 inches. small fleet there, no drift at first could buck tail up good then the south wind comes and had to have stinger hooks on the tails to get-um . that area you don't hang up too bad! they loved the large spearing with green gulp on the teaser above the buck tail.good tip on the large spearing is to soak them in kosher salt and then the bellies don't blow out.long branch rocks been good to with some c-bass mixed in also. good luck, megabait

Nice catch and good info, I fish them areas also.

Last Wednesday one of the guys on my boat got a ten pound flounder out of the Long Branch rocks area, just to the east of the rocky bottom.  t^
