Newblet from Long Branch NJ
« on: September 30, 2012, 05:12:41 PM »
Ahoy there.

Just wanted to introduce myself, and see if anyone up in the Long Branch Area, in Monmouth Co.

Got a little Hobie Rev 11, pretty decked out. I don't have a vid of the rig yet, but if I can get ahold of a camara, gonna put together one. I've had this one for about for a little over a year, and she's just about done. Wifypoo is getting me a Lowarance Elite 4 DSI for my B-Day. So I'm stoked.

Going through some minor/major health issues, but I still go out as much as I can.

Anyway do alot of fishing in the Highland sound between, Sandy Hook, and the highlands. I've gone out in the ocean several times, but my strength just isnt there right now for beach launching, working on that though.

Nice site, and Hooked up lines to all

 slt
Cheers
TJ

Hey thanks for the welcome all. Hope to see some of you on the water.
Does anyone sail their yak? I've been having a blast with the sail aspect of this sport.

Cheers all

Flatsup I had one on my last Kayak a Tarpon 120. I made pontoons for it also but never got around to Side boards, Have to look for photos. A sail on a Yak is good for down wind Taking side boards are needed. When fishing out of Key port to  channels it was nice to ride the wind back. Just watch that instant Flip with a gust of wind.  thud Bill
