In Hull Transducer Failure
« on: July 20, 2012, 03:39:44 PM »
Got to my favorite wreck to do some bottom fishing.Pull up on the piece and switch up the scope.
Nothing but colors
Sent the box back to Ray and works great on the bench.
Must be the transducer- I find out that I have an IN HULL transducer which means its glued in the inside of the hull and can actually shoot thru the hull like magic. Now i find out that there is water(antifreeze) in this thing and sometimes it dries up.. Hope that its this easy

Get yourself a jug of RV antifreeze, length of clear tubing 1/4", plastic funnel.  Pop the vent/fill caps on the ducer fill it up leaving head space  recap and you should be good to go.  t^
