7/27 Sandy hook fluke report

Headed out of Highlands with NJSWF member DJ76 and Family at 0730 for some fluke. Had some hard west wind and it was bouncy a little
First drift and DJ Jr pulls up his first ever Weakie!  Couple keepers come up and a few shorts...tide changed and had wind against with not much drift so i made a move to a couple of spots that are usually productive....but it wasnt in the cards... the guys hung in there today  but  it just plain old SUCKED for us today....we already have a redemption day  in the books.
Congrats to DJ jr on his first ever WeakFish!

although the bite really just wasn't there still had a good time on the water.  captain carl did everything he could but it just wasn't to be today.  My eight year old son had a blast catching that dogfish as well.  The ride home he is already asking "daddy when we can go on that boat again?" clp  guess I'm just going to have to cave in ;D
