Nasty ocean this morning
« on: July 20, 2012, 07:47:44 AM »
This is a picture from the Monmouth Beach cam this morning.  It looks a little unfishable I think.  TT^ :headscra: The forecast for tomorrow is more of the same. Looks like a honey do list for you married men.   rofla Shopping for you married women.   cfzd thud

There is a major fluke tournament out of Point Pleasant tomorrow that supposedly has no cancellation date which is crazy.  nts rgmn It is also a shotgun start with all the boats having to be in the inlet and wait for the starting flare.  fcp :headscra: As of this morning the tournament was still on which should have over 200 boats fishing the river. No money or tournament is worth risking your life. Should be very interesting to see what happens.

Tight Lines,
Bob G chrz slt

??? how can someone run a tourney and not have a 'rain' date so to speak? That is just crazy...I will admit that I usually don't enter one unless there is a date to r/s. The weather is so unpredictable how could the people running it not have one? UGH... work all week and all I wanna do is fish on the weekend! Even just get out on the water, for sun fun and swimming. Be safe my NJSWF peeps!  slt

A lot of tourneys have the Sunday as the rain date and if that's a wash the draw the winners out of a hat.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
