Had Ryan, Shell, and Nick Marcus aboard with their buddy John, and Bryan Turci for a FTYP trip.
Ran south again, a little tougher today then it was on Weds. Set up off the pipe and had some slow action to start with, picking a few shorts, and a couple of nice keepers, one of which was around 5# taken by Ryan. The N wind really began kicking in and made the drift very fast, (of course it wasn't forecasted!) and we made a move to the north to some deeper water where we had one quick shot of nice fish, where in about 15 minutes time we put 4 more in the box.
That one dried up, so we worked our way back south. As we worked our way south, we picked away, not finding any one big concentration of fish, just a few here and a few there.
Finished up back on the pipe, again picking away at a few fluke, one more keeper, and a handful of nice chunky seabass.
Definitely a much tougher day today, fish were much more spread out. Finished up with an even dozen (12) fluke in the box out of around 30 boated, and 5 nice seabass.
These guys fished hard, but the fishing was mediocre at best. Today was also Shell's birthday, and he celebrated it by having high hook honors and also taking a nice 4# fish on a whole squid.
