Big Al on the Hunter 2
« on: July 31, 2012, 09:09:38 PM »
Got the invite from Ed for a local afternoon trip. Left wags and made a left at the sails. Hit a few shallow spots Eddie had plotted nada. Seas were a litlle unfavorable so we werent going to make the trip to Ambrose. Tried the channel at Mt. Loretta got a few sniffs and a couple wiggles and Eddie brought a close one boat side for a cameo then dove to swim again. A few more moves same result packed it in and headed for the barn. Nice try. Thanks for the invite Ed.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

It's been tough out there. keep at it.
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!

t^ It was fun fishing with Al today for a few hours. Unfortunately, the wind was blowing steady from the east, not unfishable though. The tide was moving in so we had a nice drift and covered a good amount of bottom with only one short fish to show for it. The buzz around the Raritan bay has been that fishing has been off Monday and Tuesday. I might try later today. t^

Ever think the runoff from all the storms may be the reason the bite is off in the bay area. :headscra:
