Went out today to search for some fluke. Tried in tight to the beach and wee bit off the beach for only bluefish. Finally found a slow pick of shorts in 60' of water on small lumps, or at least till the wind died and we lost our drift.
Switched it up to trolling some clark spoons hoping for what ever would bite. Managed a small bonito, lost a larger bonito boat side, a small false albacore, and a missed knock down, all about 4 miles off the beach in 60-70' of water.
Not a banner day by far, but successful none the less. Conditions couldn't have been better, 3oz to hold in 65' of water, but sure a 2oz woulda done the trick too!
