The Inlet now ?
« on: September 05, 2007, 08:27:42 PM »
Will fishing Manasquan Inlet be ok now, or is it getting late, or what ? Havent done it in a while, have been hitting the boat lately so I'm kind of lost on how the fishing there is going. Thanks

Hi Fishon,

Here is the question ...

If you feel that the offshore migration is just about to start, it is time to fish there.

I use the outflow of bait (peanuts, mullet, etc.) as a guide.

I know some nice fish have been taken just outside the Shark River Inlet recently.

Good luck,

Ed

Fished Manasquan Inlet on Thursday, Aug.30, for only one hour, due to the parking police enforcement at the inlet. I seen many spearing and mullet leaving the river. I did catch Fluke from right in front of the concrete barrier in the middle of the parking strip alongside the inlet. Was casting a white bucktail with a Gulp Red Bloodworm , and also a plain hook with a peanut (bunker ) and both caught fish. Did the same off the jetty over the weekend, put my bike in the back of the truck, parked far away and peddeled in to avoid the hour parking thing. Same results. <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Good post.  I like the bike idea of avoiding the crazy parking fees.  Great idea Fishin Dude.   TT^
