Left the Highlands at 06:15 in beautiful conditions  with Jason Chung and crew Dave,Kim and Jessica. Ran out to check  out any Striper action....got to the spot and had some good marks on the incoming tide. Set up and started cracking. Not much action on that front although we did have a  solid fish on that came unbuttoned.....pretty uneventful  on the striper front although it shouldn't be long  till the day bite gets going with the water temp at 68 degrees in the morning.  So I started getting antsy  and decided to go get into some porgy action. Ran  to a couple of numbers and looked around them until the finder lit up like a Christmas tree. Got set up and had smaller sea bass right away. Started cracking and it didn't take long for the porgies to push them out of the way. We soon had them.flying over the rails...sometimes 2-3 rods with double headers on.
It was so good that the entire crew decided to stop fishing and have lunch to let their arms recoop. When they started fishing again...it was like they never stopped....right back to the routine of constant fish on.
The crew decided to pull the plug early and we left them biting. Over 100 Porgies for the gang today with most being in the 11-13 inch range....no monsters but they didnt have to be.....they all fight like giants!
Couple of big blow fish today to keep it fun today as well.
