Getting ready for tomorrow
« on: September 07, 2007, 10:01:09 PM »
Going to fish the Point Pleasant Inlet tomorrow, I will be in my same spot at the wall. Hoping to hook up with a few keeper fluke for the last weekend of NJ fluke fishing for 2007. Looking to try killies and peanut bunker for tomorrow. No Squid, so we will see how that goes. Would love to get a few to cook up tomorrow night. Will be back tomorrow night with an Inlet fishing report.  ;)

If you have a ShopRite close by stop in and get a box of squid from them its about $6.00 for the box.

Good Luck tomorrow...

Happy Catching

Good luck fishon.  Looking foward to your report.

Hi Ped, the ShopRite squid is now up to $8.00, that is IF you can find it.  I have check 3 from my area, no go, and one in Wall Twp, nothing.  I tried two Foodtowns also.

Hard to come by for some reason.

I get squid at the local asian market at dirt cheap prices. Not to mention there HUGE and make great 10" 12" strips. Best of all if you dont catch anything you can go back to the market and buy a whole flounder to take home. Geez if my wife only knew how much I suck at flounder fishing >:D

stat4u, welcome to the site.
I know several people who get their squid at an asian market.  My problem is, there are none in my area.  I wish I knew of one as I would be there in a heart beat.  Where are you from and what market do you use?

I dont think I have used a strip squid over 4 1/2 inches long. 10-12 inches long, JEEZ!  TT^

Irish,
Live in langhorne PA and the market is in levittown PA, I think the name is K&E market. Last week I picked up 2 big squid for under 5 bucks and I mean BIG. I'm going there in a hour or so for my bait tomorrow and will get the price per pound and take a pic to post. Best way to find one is to ask any oriental on a dock or pier. They usually dont advertise so you cant google it. I hear all the time bigger bait bigger fish, but I've yet to catch the "BIG ONE" 5hrug

Stat4u,
Thanks for the info.  I am not too far from there.  Can you give me an address for the market and how late they are open.  I will go tonight if they are still open.

Thanks again

Joe
